Meet Karlie Easley
Karlie was born in Pocatello, ID, and is a fourth-generation Idahoan. She has called the Treasure Valley home since she was in middle school, and has called District 22 home for much of her adult life. Karlie is dedicated to bringing balanced, common-sense leadership to District 22. She is focused on the everyday lives of Idaho families—prioritizing strong schools, accessible healthcare, and a government that works for everyone.
Meet Karlie: A Life of Service in District 22
Mom. Nurse, Leader. Problem solver
Connecting Care to Community
As a hospice nurse, Karlie's career has been defined by showing up for Idahoans during their most vulnerable moments. In both emergency rooms and in patients homes. She has seen firsthand the strength of Idaho families and witnessed the cracks in our systems.
Karlie's story is rooted in District 22, where she lives with her wife, Amanda, and their son. She is running because she believes our leadership should be practical and compassionate.
Real Solutions for Idaho Healthcare
As a nurse who has dedicated her entire career to Idaho’s healthcare system, Karlie understands what our communities need: healthcare that is both accessible and affordable. Yet instead of focusing on Idaho families, too many legislators are consumed by partisan rhetoric. The result is real and alarming—physicians are leaving our state at record rates, even as our population continues to grow. To meet this moment, we must actively partner with organizations that can help us recruit and retain the providers our communities depend on.
Idahoans made their priorities clear when they overwhelmingly voted to expand Medicaid. Still, some elected officials continue working to undermine that decision. At the same time, fiscally irresponsible policies have shifted the burden onto everyday Idahoans—forcing families to go without care while prioritizing tax breaks for the wealthiest. When people lack access to affordable healthcare, the consequences ripple across families, workplaces, and the broader community.
Karlie is committed to cutting through the noise and advancing practical, commonsense solutions. Idaho needs a healthcare system that works for its people—one that prioritizes patients over politics and delivers real results for the communities it serves.

Strong Public Schools, Brighter Futures
As a mom, Karlie's priority is ensuring every child in Idaho has a safe classroom where they can gain a great education. As a product of Idaho public schools, she knows what can be accomplished when our schools and teachers are supported.
Idaho schools have been asked to do more with less for far too long. She believes in supporting teachers, funding our schools, and ensuring our curriculum prepares kids for the real-world challenges of tomorrow’s economy. When we invest in our teachers and students, we invest in Idaho’s future.
Real Solutions to Real Problems
Idahoans need real solutions to the problems they face everyday. Idaho politicains have focused on political theater instead of what challenges Idahoans actually face. Idahoans deserve representation that is looking out for them, not trying to gain political points from outside donors.
Perspective as a Mom
As a mom raising a son right here in District 22, Karlie's priorities are shaped by the world she wants him to grow up in. Karlie see Idaho’s future through the eyes of Idaho's children—the need for safe classrooms, healthy communities, and a state where they can eventually afford to build lives of their own. For her, policy isn't just a collection of numbers; it’s about the safe world we want for the next generation of Idahoans.
Expanding Access
Improving healthcare access in Idaho means more than just having a clinic nearby. It means addressing the provider shortage, supporting our rural health centers, and stopping the bleed of providers leaving the state due to political extremisim.
Commitment to Healthcare
As a hospice nurse, Karlie understands that healthcare isn't just a policy issue—it's a human one. Her vision for Idaho focuses on practical, patient-centered solutions that ensure every family can get the care they need without breaking the bank.
Idaho voters overwhelmingly approved Medicaid expansion, but our current legislature wants to repeal it because they have been fiscally irresponsible year after year, giving tax breaks to the wealthy and wanting to repeal Medicaid expansion to make up for their gaffs

Elevating Quality
Quality care demands that our community has quality providers who have the time to spend with their patients. Karlie supports efforts to retaining and recruit providers in primary care and specialties, to improve outcomes for all.
Strength in Our Schools
Karlie believes that a strong Idaho starts with strong public schools. She is committed to ensuring every child has access to a quality education in a safe classroom. This means prioritizing support for our teachers, securing reliable funding that reaches the classroom level, and modernizing our curriculum to prepare students for the real-world challenges of a 21st-century economy. By focusing on practical growth and safety, we can ensure Idaho's youth are ready to lead our state forward.
